Our approach: your files stay on your device
Most online PDF sites make you upload every document to a remote server. We built editpdf.tools differently. All tools except Edit PDF run entirely in your browser using client-side libraries, so your files are processed on your own computer or phone and are not uploaded to us. That makes the free tools a practical choice for contracts, invoices, ID copies and other documents you would rather not send to a third party.
Edit PDF (Pro) is the one exception. It needs to process the document on our side, so the file is uploaded, scanned for malware, processed in an isolated memory environment, and not stored. It is removed as soon as you refresh or close the page. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
