How to Put an ID Card Front and Back on One PDF Page

Banks, colleges, job portals and KYC forms often ask for both sides of an ID card in a single file. This tool places the front and back on one page at the real card size, so you can upload it or print a neat copy. All processing happens on your device.

Steps:

  1. Add the front: Tap the Front box and choose a photo or scan of the front of the card.
  2. Add the back: Do the same in the Back box.
  3. Crop and rotate: Drag the corners of the box to the card edges. Use Card ratio to lock the standard card shape, and rotate if the photo is sideways.
  4. Choose the layout: Front above back (default), side by side, or one side on each half of the page.
  5. Create PDF: Click Create PDF and download it. The default quality is 92%, which keeps text sharp at a small file size.

Works for National IDs, Driving Licences and More

Most ID cards use the international ID-1 size of 85.6 × 54 mm, the same as a bank card. That includes national ID cards, driving licences, residence permits, student and employee cards, and bank cards. With Real card size selected, the printout matches the physical card.

Your ID Stays on Your Device

The photos are read and the PDF is built inside your browser tab. Your card images are not uploaded, so your ID details reach only the place where you send the finished PDF. You can check it yourself: open your browser's Network tab (F12) before you create the PDF, and no request carries your photos. Our 58-second video shows the same test on our other free tools.

Use It on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows

On a phone you can take a photo of each side with the camera and drag the crop box with your finger. On a computer use a scanner image or a photo. The PDF is saved to your Downloads folder.

Tips for a Clear Copy

  • Place the card on a dark, plain surface and shoot from straight above to avoid glare.
  • Turn on Black & white when a form asks for a photocopy.
  • Keep Cut line on if you plan to cut the printed card out.
  • If the PDF must be under a size limit, run it through Compress PDF.
  • Need several cards or documents in one file? Use Image to PDF, or join PDFs with Merge PDF.
