What happens on your device
Most online PDF tools ask you to upload your document to their server. editpdf.tools works the other way around: every tool except Edit PDF runs inside your browser. When you drop a file into a tool, your browser reads it and does the work. The file is not sent to us.
The one exception: Edit PDF
Edit PDF needs to process the document on our side. The file is uploaded, scanned for malware, processed in an isolated memory environment and not stored. It is removed when you refresh or close the page.
What we do store
If you create an account, we keep your login details and your plan. Payments are handled by Razorpay, so we do not see your full card details. We do not store your documents.
Check it yourself
Open your browser's developer tools (press F12), go to the Network tab and run any tool. You will not see your file being sent anywhere. Try the same with Edit PDF and you will see the upload.
About ads
The free plan shows ads from advertising networks. We do not send your files to them. Paid plans remove the ads.
