1. Your files
All tools except Edit PDF run entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Edit PDF (Pro) is the only tool that uploads your file for processing. Uploaded files are scanned for malware, processed in an isolated memory environment, and are not stored. A file is removed as soon as you refresh or close the page.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: if you create an account, your email address, display name and login details are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive payment status, plan and billing details, but we do not see or store your full card details.
- Invoices and support: we use your email address to send invoices and to reply to support requests.
- Technical data: like most websites, our servers and hosting provider may log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to run your account and subscription, process payments, send invoices, provide support, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Advertising and cookies
The free plan is supported by advertising. We show ads from third-party advertising networks. These partners may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, and may use information about your visits to this and other websites to show ads that are relevant to you. Paid plans (Pro and Business) remove ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. To learn more about how Google uses data, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can choose how advertising cookies are used. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data in their settings, and many also let you limit third-party cookies. We do not send your files to advertising partners.
We also use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. If you use an ad blocker, the free tools may ask you to turn it off for this site to continue.
5. Service providers
We use third-party providers to operate the service, including Supabase (authentication and database), Razorpay (payments), our hosting and content delivery provider, and an email delivery provider for invoices. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
6. Retention and your choices
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account data by emailing support@editpdf.tools.
7. Children
editpdf.tools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
